Next Steps

The way the networking is done at the moment will never be able to handle playing over slow connections or such with high latency. I have to change the extrapolation system to a system with buffers and interpolation. It is hard to implement at first, but it simplifies further development and interpolation is easier to implement than extrapolation.

Implement physics: Detect collisions between entities and let them bounce/react accordingly.

Particle system: Adapt the game to Tim's new version. It uses templates to spawn effects instead of loading them from the file every time.

Design a tiny part of the world to test with.

Implement sound/music (OpenAL).
